Women's Programs

Programs and gatherings led with the Women's Committee to elevate social, spiritual, family, emotional, physical, and professional well-being.

Evergreen Islamic Center offers programs geared toward women and families throughout the year. Many are organized with the EIC Women's Committee, whose values are Adab, Sharaf, and Akhlaq.

Program highlights

Muslim Business Women Club
It Starts With Her — professional networking and growth for Muslim business women. First meeting: June 5, 2026 at 5 PM at Evergreen Islamic Center. Motto: Lift as you climb. Learn as you grow. Rise — together.
Riya'da — Sisters Group Physical Fitness
Weekly 60-minute hijabi-friendly classes with Sr. Sanobar Hamid (MS Nutrition, CYT, CCHT): cardio, stretches, and meditation over Asma ul Husna. Sold as a 4-week package ($100). Registration required; spots limited. Stronger in body. Connected in faith.
Jabal — Sisters Hike Club
A regular beginners hike club in local areas, where sisters hike and reflect on Islamic teaching, strengthening bonds and staying active. Strength | Stability | Steadfastness. Contact the Women's Committee via info@eicsanjose.org to join.
Sisters Book Club — Iqra Wa'Arqa
Read and Rise — classical and contemporary texts rooted in Islamic teachings, shared online for ages 14+. Reading since May 2026. Readers are Leaders. Express interest through the Women's Committee or the club WhatsApp group listed on the flier.
Hiba — Gift giveaway & exchange
A Hadieh (gift giveaway) or Tabadul e Hadieh (gift exchange) for new or lightly used items — maintain human stewardship and reduce carbon footprint. Join via the WhatsApp group on the flier for details.
Ramadan & seasonal gatherings
Ramadan Bazaar, Grand Iftaar, Khatam Night, iftar/dinners, Ladies Eid Milan, and other seasonal sisterhood events organized with the Women's Committee.
