UPDATE

As-Salamu Alaykum Dear Parents,

JazakumAllahu khayran for setting up your children for the online EIC WIS session on April 4th. Alhamdulillah it was great seeing/hearing them! Based on seeing their excitement in attending and interacting in the online session, we would like to schedule another session on the last day of school, Saturday, April 18th at 12:30pm. We will send the link/password in the reminder email before the meeting in-shaa-Allah. In that session, we would like for those students who would like to participate, to take 1-2 minutes to tell us:

  • what they liked about EIC WIS,
  • what they learned in this school year,
  • what they miss the most about it,
  • what they are looking forward to in the next school year,
  • and anything they would like to share

Regarding today’s session, everyone was informed as to what was covered in Quranic Studies and Islamic Studies this school year before the shelter-in-place order due to COVID-19. It was also suggested as to what the students can do while being at home. It was recommended that, if possible, for Quranic Studies, the students can learn the last Surah for the school year which was Surah An-Naas for Group 1 and Surah Al-Qadr for Groups 2-4 using the mini Tafseer books. For Islamic Studies, the students can complete the remaining chapters in their Weekend Learning Series book. Students were encouraged to maintain a Salah Chart and also to continue saying the duas they learned during the school year. The teachers are available to answer any questions via the WhatsApp groups that had been created in the beginning of the school year. Please join if you hadn’t done so already by clicking on the WhatsApp group link in the email that was sent.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

JazakAllahu khayran,
EIC WIS Team
